Web App Privacy

This page explains what this web edition stores when you play, install, share a result or send a category suggestion.

On your device

This web edition does not require an account. Your browser stores game references, unfinished guesses, units, round preferences, challenge link requests and suggestion drafts. A signed anonymous cookie identifies the browser to our game server and lasts up to one year. Clearing browser data removes these local records and may prevent you from recovering saved games.

Installing from a browser uses that browser’s storage rules. A home-screen app may have separate storage, so progress is not guaranteed to transfer between browser profiles or between the original Size It Up site and this web edition.

Saved games and scores

When you play, our server stores an anonymous browser identity, the game’s frozen object pairs, your submitted sizes, scores and request keys. Game sessions can be accessed for 30 days. Finished daily scores are included in aggregate standings; saved score records are not currently deleted on a fixed schedule.

Cloudflare hosts this edition and processes network requests to deliver pages and limit abuse. Our application uses a keyed hash for address-based rate limits and does not store raw IP addresses in game records.

Challenges and shared results

Creating a challenge publishes the nickname you choose and scores to anyone with the challenge link. Challenges stop being accessible 30 days after creation. These records are not currently deleted on a fixed schedule.

Creating a result link stores a score snapshot and generated image. Links expire after 30 days. Background cleanup removes expired images and subsequently removes their saved snapshots; deletion may be delayed by retries. Copies saved or posted elsewhere are outside this site’s control. Downloading an image to your own device does not create a public result link.

Votes, suggestions and feedback

Votes are associated with the anonymous browser identity so you can change your choice. Written category suggestions are saved privately with that identity and a request key. These records currently have no automatic deletion schedule. Do not include sensitive personal information in suggestions.

General feedback is saved privately for 180 days and then removed by a daily cleanup. It includes your message, feedback type, anonymous identity, request key, page path without query strings or fragments, game mode, category, device size class, entry point and whether the previous run was complete. Drafts stay in this tab’s session storage until submitted or the tab is closed.

Installation and offline storage

The browser may save a static offline message so it can explain when a connection is unavailable. This cache does not store game API responses, private session data or result images. An internet connection is required to load games, submit answers and confirm scores.

This edition has no native App Store or Google Play app or advertising SDK. Cloudflare measures page loading and Core Web Vitals in the browser. Installation does not request contacts, location, camera or microphone access. Sharing and file downloads only occur when you choose the relevant action.

Changes

This page describes the current web edition as of 26 October 2026. It is separate from the original site’s native-app privacy policy. Changes to storage and retention will be reflected here.
