PRIVACY · SHORT VERSION FIRST

What Sizekin keeps

No account is needed. Your browser keeps local game preferences and an anonymous identity; our server stores submitted guesses, scores, challenges, category votes and feedback. This edition currently has no ads. Cloudflare measures page performance. Result cards become public only when you choose to create a share link.

On your device

Your browser stores game references, unfinished size adjustments, units, round preferences and challenge requests. A signed, HTTP-only anonymous cookie lasts up to one year and connects the browser to its saved games. Feedback drafts and their page context stay in this tab’s session storage until sent or the tab is closed. Clearing site data removes these records and may prevent recovery of saved games. Progress does not automatically transfer between devices or browser profiles.

Challenges and daily standings

When you play, Cloudflare D1 stores the anonymous browser identity, frozen object pairs, submitted sizes, round scores and request keys. Game sessions are accessible for 30 days. Daily totals contribute to aggregate standings and are not currently deleted on a fixed schedule. Creating or joining a challenge also stores the nickname you choose and its scores. Challenge boards are public to anyone with the link and expire after 30 days; their underlying records have no automatic deletion schedule. Network requests pass through Cloudflare. Application rate limits use a keyed hash rather than storing raw IP addresses in game records.

Category votes and feedback

Category votes and suggestions are stored privately in D1 with the anonymous browser identity. That identity lets you change a vote and prevents a retry from creating the same suggestion twice. Votes and category suggestions currently have no automatic deletion schedule. General feedback includes the kind and text of your message, the page path, game mode, category, device size class, entry point and whether the previous run was complete. URL query strings and fragments are removed from this context.

Feedback is retained for 180 days, then removed by a daily cleanup task. The anonymous identity and request key are used to limit spam and recognize retries. There is no public feedback feed or public read API. You do not need to give an email address, but anything you voluntarily write in the message is saved with it. Avoid including passwords or other information that is not needed to explain the issue.

Shared result cards

Saving an image on your device does not create a public result link. Creating a link stores an immutable score snapshot in D1 and a generated PNG in R2. It includes the category, puzzle, guesses, scores and rendering version; it does not include your anonymous identity, nickname or feedback. Anyone with the link can view the result. Shared result pages are marked noindex.

Result links expire after 30 days. A cleanup task runs every five minutes to remove expired images and subsequently their snapshots; retries can delay removal. Copies downloaded or cached by another platform are outside our control. Your browser may offer a system share sheet or download, and we cannot tell whether you saved an image to a photo library or posted it elsewhere.

Analytics

Cloudflare performance monitoring measures page loading and Core Web Vitals. The production website also uses Google Analytics 4, sending simplified page addresses, referral sites, browser and device information to Google. Google processes the network information needed to provide this service. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled. We do not send nicknames, feedback text, search terms or unique challenge-link identifiers to Google. Google event data is retained for 2 months; aggregate reports are not subject to that limit. Game submissions, standings, votes and feedback are still stored by our own backend.

How Google uses data from partner sites

Cloudflare provides hosting and request protection and processes network requests to operate the site. Application errors may include a random request identifier for troubleshooting. Our usage analytics deduplicates activity using a keyed hash of a random browser identifier. It does not record feedback text, nicknames, raw IP addresses or search terms. Retention and opt-out controls are explained below.

Advertising

This edition currently has no advertising integration, advertising cookies or personalized advertising. Shared result pages and challenge boards also have no ads.

Links to external sources and credits open other websites. Their privacy and cookie practices are separate from this site; visiting a link may send that service the normal network information needed to deliver its page.

Installing the web app does not request contacts, location, camera or microphone access. The offline cache stores a static connection notice, not private game API responses. Read Web App Privacy for installation details.

Questions and corrections

Use the feedback form for privacy questions or a request to remove a challenge board or shared card. Include the relevant public link and a reply address if a response is needed. This page describes the current web edition as of 26 October 2026.

Usage analytics preference

Our D1 analytics records page visits, a pseudonymous browser identifier, broad device environment and game events. D1 event details are kept for 30 days, deduplication records for 35 days, and anonymous aggregates longer; it does not record raw IP addresses, nicknames, feedback text or search terms. The production website also uses Google Analytics for page visits, referral sources and device information. Identifier cookies for both systems are configured with a 90-day lifetime. The button below and browser DNT / GPC signals disable both D1 usage analytics and Google Analytics; game saves continue to work.
